The Democratic Women's Club of Sarasota County invite you to a special opportunity to meet the school board candidates! This town hall will spotlight Beth Mayberry, Megan Tinnemon, Jimmy Glover, and Scarlett Hess. Each candidate will share their platform, their goals, and their commitments to students, families, and teachers. This will be followed by a Q&A from the audience.

 Please invite friends and neighbors, especially first-time voters or those who may need more information ahead of the election! 

We will be voting for our school board candidates THIS AUGUST on the 18th, with early voting beginning on August 8th! At this meeting, you will also learn about opportunities to help at voting sites across the county during early voting AND on Election Day. 

BOOK DONATIONS REQUESTED! As we get closer to summer, we are asking attendees to bring donations of books for beginner readers to teens. Special need for books in Spanish or English/Spanish (bilingual). Commonly requested topics are graphic novels (especially the Dog Man series), sports, nature and science, fantasy, Star Wars and superheroes, and animals. Book donations will be split between Free Book Fair, which brings FREE books to students in Title 1 schools, and a local immigrant support mutual aid. Let's keep ALL kids reading! 

We will also continue to collect donations of non-perishable food, hygiene items, and cleaning supplies for the Food For Our Neighbors drive. Thank you for your generosity!
